A Symposium on “Make in India: Prospects & Challenges” was organized by School of Business Studies, Shobhit University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, in Association with Meerut Management Association. Dr. R L Bishnoi, Director, Bank of India, Meerut was the Chief Guest and Mr. Rakesh Kohli, Managing Director, STAG International, Meerut was the Guest of Honour.
Annual General Meeting of Meerut Management Association was held on 30/09/2016 at 7:00 P.M. at Masonic Lodge, Opposite Indiana Bar & Restaurants, Meerut. The New Team headed by Mr. Sunjeev Gupta as President has taken over. The outgoing President Mr. Ankit Singhal presented the Annual Report (07/11/2015 to 30/09/2016), Audited Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account for the financial year ended 31/03/2016. All these were approved /adopted unanimously.

Meerut Management Association and Indian Industries Association jointly organized another successful seminar on 26th August, 2016 at IIA Bhawan, Meerut. Smt. Anjali Tiwari, Principal Commissioner, Income Tax, Meerut was the chief guest and Sh. Arkendra Singh, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax, Meerut was the distinguished speaker who enlightened on the Income Declaration Scheme 2016.
Smt. Anjali Tiwari informed us that a valuation on an individual basis is made by a registered valuer to declare Gold, Silver and Diamond and the tax is paid accordingly.
Sh. Arkendra Singh explained that under this scheme anyone can convert his black money into white after declaring his all assets and paying 45% tax.
During this informative talk the income tax officers answered many queries asked by industrialists.
MMA and IIA members were present in the seminar. Mr. A. N. Malhotra, Chairman Indian Industries Association and Mr. Ankit Singhal, President Meerut Management Association were chair persons.
In keeping with our tradition, this year we celebrated Independence Day with Gyanoday Vatika, a bold venture, in which the School goes to children, rather than children going to School, where the ‘Vatika’ is the School, be it in a jhuggi or a tin shed or a quiet edge of a road.
Flag hoisting was followed by cultural programs organized by students of Gyanoday.
On this occasion, MMA donated Rs. 11000/- for the welfare of underprivileged children who are unable to go to a regular School and are generally deprived of the joys of childhood.
MMA organized a Family Dinner for it’s all members on 15th July, 2016 . MMA members and their families gathered at Hotel Crystal Palace, Meerut, for a fun filled evening with exotic food & games. Various games were organised by Mr. Ankit Singhal, President MMA. Every one enjoyed the evening with games followed by delicious food. The program was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Jain, Respected Council Member MMA.
