Seminar and Panel Discussion on Recent Amendments in Regulations for Cash Transactions, Service Tax and GST Draft Bill (12 July 16)

Meerut Management Association and Indian Industries Association organized a Seminar and Panel Discussion on Recent Amendments in Regulations for Cash Transactions, Service Tax and GST Draft Bill on the 12th of July, 2016 at IIA Bhawan, Mohkampur, Meerut.

CA Dhruv Arora, CA Akash Jain, Advocate Mohit Sapra and Advocate S. K. Mathur were the esteemed speakers who enlightened the present members on Tax on cash transactions, Service Tax and GST Draft Bill.

CA Dhruv Arora informed about section 206 C which covers the new requirements of collection of tax at source for cash transactions and how to adhere to the government regulations while entering into such transactions. CA Akash Jain spoke of rule 114 B, C, D and E which specifies regulation and reporting of certain specified cash transactions and answered queries related to the same. Advocate Mohit Sapra explained about the changes in Service Tax in Budget 2016 and its impact on various groups. He also spoke about the newly introduced Krishi Kalyan Cess, Indirect tax dispute resolution scheme and changes in interest rates and penalties. Advocate S. K. Mathur discussed about the draft GST Bill and changes in the taxation structure post its implementation.

MMA and IIA members and council members were present during the talk. The panel discussion helped in solving many doubts and queries of the members.

The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Ankur Jaggi, Vice President MMA. The members enjoyed high tea after the talk. Mr. Ankit Singhal- President MMA, Mr. Atul Bhushan Gupta- Chairman IIA, Mr. Anurag Agarwal- Secreatary IIA, Mr. SPS Jaggi- Jt. Secretary MMA, Meerut’s renowned Entrepreneurs, Industrialists and professionals were present during the program.

The Event was very well organized by Mr. Harinder Attrey- Executive Director IIA and Mr. Kapil Gahlot- Executive Director MMA.

Please be informed that:

Meerut Management Association celebrated Republic day on 26^thJan 2015 with Government Primary School No. 1 , Sivaya, and Junior High School situated near Toll Plaza NH58 , Sivaya , Meerut.

Flag was hoisted by Captain V.K. Gupta (President MMA) and Mr. Rupesh Vihan (Village Pradhan, Sivaya) and Various cultural programmes like Poem recitation, Singing patriotic song & some entertainment programmes were conducted by students of Primary School and Junior High School. Principal Mrs. Upasna Sharma explained about Republic day to students.

Captain V.K. Gupta (President MMA) explained about Republic day celebration and given various tips to students for better studies and to be a good citizen of India. Captain V.K. Gupta also explained about the importance of cleanliness in and around the premises, Village and Country.

Sweet and Gift distribution was done by Captain V.K. Gupta (President MMA), Mr. Ankit Singhal (Sr. Vice President MMA), Mr. Vibhor Agarwal (A Council Member). Every one enjoyed the program.

Later, Flag was hoisted at Management House By Captain V.K. Gupta (President MMA).

A guest lecture on “TRENDS IN IT & MANUFACTURING SECTOR” was organized in joint venture of Meerut Management Association & Vidya School of Business on 18^th November 2014. At 1430 hrs. For MBA students and faculties.

Mr. Ankit Singhal, ( Sr. Vice President of Meerut Management association) was welcomed by Dr. Hoti (Director) and the faculties present there. After lighting the sacred lamp. Mr. Ankit Singhal successfully delivered the lecture and had a very nice interaction with the young and enthusiastic students and faculties. The students & faculties were overwhelmed by the way their queries were answered. Mr. Singhal not only interacted with the student on the above topic. He also suggested various internet sites and books to go through bor better understanding. Mr. Singhal advised students to be a better citizen of India and support to build India in a better way.
